Working On My Night Moves
Working On My Night Moves is a mesmerising, genre-defying live work that spirals through tinfoil astronauts, dispersing atoms and Wizard of Oz dream logic, soundtracked by Enya and dubstep mashups.
Created by award-winning artists Julia Croft and Nisha Madhan, this acclaimed performance breaks rules, the patriarchy and the space-time continuum. Part science fiction, part science fact, part fever dream, it reaches toward multiple feminist futurisms while playfully dismantling the structures that contain them. Across shifting images, bodies and beats, the work inverts, makes and remakes time and space in a bold gesture toward the impossible. Both irreverent and searching, it is an ode to utopia and the restless desire to imagine otherwise.
